24 hour-help!

Dear all,

I need your help! Last week I bought these boots from Zadig et Voltaire, and I think they are absolutly amazing, but the last couple of days, another pair of boots has also been on my mind.
Boots from Zadig et Voltaire
I really like the Acne Short Pistol ones, but a big disadvantage is that everybody has them. Both pair are quite expensive, so I can only have one of them. That's where you come in!
Boots from Acne
What do you think I should do? Just to make it a bit more interesting, I only have 24 hours to make up my mind, as I'm leaving for Copenhagen tomorrow, and have to take the Zadig's back if I decide on the Acne. If you help me, tomorrow I will show you what I found in Manolo Blahnik on sale (They had one pair left in 38,5, so I think it was a sign from the shoe-Gods!)...

All the best from SuperCarla

Le look francais

Yesterday I also spotted this little trendy fashionista at the Chanel-show, who made the crowd of photographers go totally crazy (If you are tired of the pictures, please let me know).

The adrenalin was pumping throug my veins, so I took my self in shouting Chanel!, Chanel!, after this poor girl/child (Pretty damn cool to be named Chanel and go to the Chanel-show, wearing Chanel). It made me feel a bit stupid, as I had no idea who she was, but she must have been important as her bodyguards were the largest. When I got home I decided that I had to find out who she was, and after two minutes on Google I got disapointed! Her name was not Chanel, but Janelle Monàe, and she is, something as trivial, as an american singer. She apparently really likes beeing here, as she was saying "I love you, I love you all!", to everybody (She must have been on drugs, poor kid). But again, who wouldn't love having 50 people shouting Chanel after you?

Paparazzi in the making

Apparently I have been a bad girl the first 25 days of 2010, since Santa didn't bring me a ticket for the Chanel haute couture show this morning. Instead I went there to spot celebrities, and to test my abilities as a paparazzi (I must say I have potential). Of cause my camera was out of batteries, so I appologize for the poor iPhone quality.

There was a lot of fashionable people who apparently has been good this year, so they all had the beautiful silver invitation. But even good people has to show up in time, as some were refused at the door for being late (What a waste of Chanel-ticket!). This years goodiebag contained a mysterious "eau de cologne exclusive" (Uhh, I wonder what it smells like...). Most models were quickly off to the next show, but this girl was really nice to me, and let me take her picture (she probably was the only one who had something to eat this week!!!)

Some of the guests reminded me that even though it looks good in a picture, if you can't walk in your high heels, DON'T wear them! That must be the biggest fashion faut pas! Alexa Chung was of course also invited to the show, and she made it look goooood, along with Vanessa Paradis and Diane Kruger (who run very fast, and thus I couldn't take their picture)

All the important people like Lou Doillon and editor-in-cheif for Vogue Italia, Franca Sozzani hurried past the crowd, so I had to fight the other photographers to get my shot.

Also Daphne Guinness, Kirsten Dunst and Jerry Hall gave me a run for my money, but only the latter escaped my lens. To my great joy, I spotted her having coffee down the street, after I left the Chanel circus, and she kindly let me take her picture:-) All-in-all a successful day!

Welcome to rehab...

I have been living in Paris for the past 6 months, and unfortunately it's time go back home. I have always had a strong addiction to Paris and will really miss her (In my eyes Paris is a 'she', but not in a Hilton kind of way. She's more classy, sexy and 100% real. I don't think you can say that about a certain miss Hilton, but that's just my opinion) and she will always hold a special place in my heart. This evening I had three of my french friends over for a goodbye-dinner/"galette des Rois-feast" as I'm leaving on friday. Many laughs, ironic comments and kind smiles were filling the air, making my addiction even stronger. I'm therefore going into rehab with a little help from Tina Dickow.

As Santa hasn't been here yet, I'm going to spot celebrities outside the Chanel-show with my gossip-friend tomorrow. Hopefully some interesting pictures will follow. Stay tuned...

Dear Santa...

I know Christmas wasn't that long ago, but I was wondering if I could get next year's Christmas presents in advance? Like 11 months + 1 day + some hours in advance? If so, here is my wishlist:

1: One incy wincy ticket to the Chanel haute couture-show on tuesday. I mean, I live right down the street, so could be there in no time, and I would really appreciate it, s'il vous plait!

Picture from Empress of Fashion
2: I really like this blogging-thing, and already have two followers (Thanks guys, you're the best!), so I must be okay at it. I think though, I would be even better at it, if I wrote my stuff on the new MacBook Air from Apple. So it's not really a present for me, right?
Picture from Apple
3: As I am returning to cold Denmark for good on friday, I would like something to keep me warm. For instance this beautiful scarf from Rika. You can get it now at a 40% discount, so it's not like it would ruin your budget or anything...
Picture from YouHeShe
4: My last wish is world peace! How hard can it be, and when so many people wishes for the same thing, why not just get it over with? (Ok this wish is a bit stupid, so please just get me the ticket to the Chanel-show)

A well-hidden pearl in Paris

My friend the DJ, had given me directions to a mens fashion boutique near Centre Pompidou when I went to his place for dinner the other day. The directions were actually quite precise, so I didn't expect to have so much trouble finding it (Read: I never found it!). Once again, my sence of direction failed miserably (I read somewhere that women can't find the right direction, and men are to proud to ask for it when lost. So true, in my opinion!). Instead I found this beautiful gallery, which takes in aspiring artists of all sorts.

H3 Concept Gallery: 43, Rue Quincampoix, 75004 Paris
Clothes and jewelry designers, photographers, painters and sculptures. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the basement floor is spectacular and the owners are really nice. When you walk down the stairs to the basement you end up in a long corridor, and spanning from the sides are small cave-looking rooms, where you find different displays of the artist's work. All the pieces are unique or made in a small number of copies, but still very affordable. I couldn't resist buying a fantastic lightblue bracelet. You have to support the art, right?
The latest addition to my jewelry collection.

The story of an ugly child

Today I chose to stay in all day, reading a lot of fantastic blogs from around the world. My plan was really to go to the Les Arts Décoratifs - Mode et Textile which is a fashion museum in Paris, in the Louvre. I visited the museum a couple of years ago when there was a Valentino exibition and it was spectacular! Not only was all the beautiful clothes by the italien designer extraordinary, but the whole atmosphere in the old building was amazing. At the moment there is an exibition with contemporary fashion from 1990-2000 - also known as the Beverly Hills 90210 years. But keep in mind, this is Paris! The fashion displayed is off cause high fashion from disigners such as Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel, John Galliano for Dior, Dolce et Gabbana, Vivienne Westwood, Alexander McQueen and so on.
Picture from lesartsdecoratifs.fr
I was a child in the 90's, so I didn't wear any of those designers, and didn't even know who most of them were until the end of that decade. My mother is a VERY headstrong woman, and some (most) people say that I have inherited that trait. So when it comes to fashion I have always had an opinion of my own!
When the biggest trend amongst the other children in kindergarden was to wear jeans, I off cause refused. I wanted to wear my pretty dresses everyday, and my tracksuits to birthdayparties.
When I was around 8 my favorite outfit was a matching-print legging and blouse jersey-blend ensemble. I wanted to wear this everyday, so my mother had to wash it all the time. Everytime I fell (which was a lot, as I thought it was cool to ride unicycles, but wasn't very good at it) and got big holes on my knees, she had to patch them up, making the ugly outfit even worse looking.
By the age of 10 I started to make my own clothes, and it was not a pretty sight. For the danish version of Halloween I made my own jester costume which was a half black, half white, longsleeved jumpsuit. I thought it came out so well, that I decided to wear it after the holiday as well (Can you imaging what I must have looked like? No? Would it help if I say that I have curly frizzy hair, and at that time didn't know how to controle it?). I still don't follow the trends completely, as I think some of them are stupid. Come on!: Buffallo boots, neon-colored everything and bike shorts.

Who can make this look good?
With the aid of Vogue, Elle and different fashion-blogs I now have a better idea as of what suits me and what doesn't. My only hope is that for every fashion don't you've made, there must be a fashion do to come. If that's the case, I'll be looking good for a the rest of my life...

Addicted to Paris, but danish at heart!

I have been living in Paris for quite some time now, and have really enjoyed myself so far. Specially the last week has been amazing as the sale has started (yeah!). I particularly love the concept of sales in the outlet stores, which caused me to buy some grey suede sandals that makes my legs look amazing at -70% off. Today I was only supposed to go to Cos and return a parka that monsieur boyfriend bought last week, but I went accidentally (or I was more or less forced with knifes, guns, bazookas and other dangerous things) into the Zadig et Voltaire boutique in Marais and found these boots, that I've had my eye on for several months, with a 30% discount. I closed my brown eyes for one second and all of a sudden they were in a bag in my hand. I (dis)honestly don't know how they got there...
My newest addition to the shoe collection.
It must have been the magnetic forces in France, because that never happens in Denmark. I am really not looking forward to go back there next week for good:-( So this evening I stayed in and did something as geeky as watching the mens World Cup in handball as Denmark had to play against Croatia, the favorite to take the championship. I hoped it maybe could help me refind my national feeling (and allow me to drink some coke for once). I watched the entire game in my new beautiful Zadig et Voltaire-handball boots as I felt it difficult to leave out my french-self, and I am sure it helped the danish cuties on their way to victory. Though I didn't expect that we would beat the east-european suckers with 5 goals, I really didn't see me getting as excited as I did.
Now I'm sure that even though I can't live without Paris, I will always be danish at heart.
À bientôt Danemark

Soundtrack of my life - for the moment...

Preparing for summer, fruity cocktails, light flowy dresses, beautiful sandals, tasty ice cream and happy days. I've been singing this song ever since I saw Sofia Coppolas' "Somewhere" last sunday, and I'm not planning on stopping any time soon (Poor monsieur boyfriend)
"Why not try it all,
if you only remember it once,
oooh ooooooh"

Inspiring lyrics, catchy melody and cool guys = Fantastic track

On my way to dinner at my friend, "the DJ"s place. Uhhh, what to wear?

One week anniversary

Yesterday my blog had survived one hole week in cyberspace, and I found it worth celebrating. What's better than doing so by going out for desserts with two fantastic friends. Lets call them fondant au chocolat and lemon-meringue pie:-) We went to this cute and cosy winebar with old wooden furniture and lots of warm charisma.
Clever way to do a businesscard as a cork when you're a winebar;-)

We had so much to talk about, that the café closed while we were still there, but the, for once, friendly french waiters let us sit there while they cleaned up the place. So we had the entire place for ourselves and our gossip. Now I just need to go buy myself a present right? No anniversary without presents!
Lots of kisses from the cheesecake

Yummy in my tummy:-)

100 things I want to do before I die... #99

Read a book in the light of a chandelier

What could be more stylish than reading a fantastic book in the light of a big beautiful chandelier? I went to the boutique Merci today, which was an amazing experience. Wow, I can't belive that there are so many things that I never even knew I couldn't live without. For instance a penholder for a notebook (11 euro), an envelope with flower prints (9 euro for one), paper towels in fabric (6 euro), a candle smelling like shit or nuits d'été as they have chosen to call it (priceless!) and so on. Holy cow(!!!). But right there, in the middle of all the weird overpriced stuff, was this fabulous library café with books covering the walls and chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
The library café at Merci. All the books were of cause for sale, damn commercialism!
This inspired me so much, and I have therefore decided that I must must must get a chandelier when I grow up (At 25 I'm still a child at heart, and furthermore I need to get a proper apartment where a chandelier will not hit the floor when hung from the ceiling). Then I have to get a lot of books to make me look intelligent (any advise?), a cosy armchair and a pipe. Not so feminin or healthy, but all the cool people smoke them. When all this is accomplished I can cross one more thing off my "100 things I want to do before I die"-list...

All the cool people: Bogart, Arnold, Freud, Hefner, Einstein, Sinatra and my buddy Bing Crosby

Arghhhh, there's a monster in my bathroom...

Whoke up early (at least for a sunday) this morning, and really needed to go to the bathroom to brush my teeth. You all must know how difficult it is to wake up when you for once had a fantastic sleep with lots of good dreams about beautiful beaches in Hawaii, where you dance around in a perfect bikini (and all of a sudden, you have the body of Kate Moss, only with a little bigger boobs), all tanned and with the hair blowing in the wind. Gorgeous men in not much clothes serves you colourful cocktails and.... Oh sorry, a little sidetrack;-)
Picture from Vogue Paris
Well, this morning I got a big scare right back to reality! I turn on the bathroom lights and start to cross the doorframe, when I turn my head, and right in my line of sight, see the biggest monster of a spider! It was at least 50 m in diameter (I should mention that my jugdement of size has never been my strong point. When I was about 5 years old I saw a dead SNAKE on my way to kindergarden. My mother tried to convince me that it was only a worm, but I'm still certain to this day that it must have been an anaconda or something like that, and I have never gone down the same street again).
I really hope my monster doesn't have friends...
What to do? My boyfriend is as scared of the ugly things as me, so he wasn't that much of a help, and he is to macho to let me call a friend and ask her to come by and remove it. By the aid of a shoe, a breadknife and a peace of paper the bathroom is now de-monstered and my teeth are brushed. What a morning!

I have adopted in french...

I have decided to adopt another child. I have allready around 10 very nice children, out of which I have about 4 favorites. If you read a book about psychology, it will probably say, that it's wrong to play favorites with your children, but I don't care. The fact is, that not every child goes with every outfit... !So more about my newest adoption: It was simply love at first sight. She is beautiful, the right size, soft and black, and her name is Balenciaga!

When I saw her in Gallerie lafayette at 50% off, I knew (after a cup of coffee) that I had to take her home. So now she lives in my closet with all of her siblings, hopefully, happily ever after. The end!

My newest lover

My mother-in-law visited Dubai in November, but I just saw her pictures from the trip a couple of weeks ago, and let me just tell you. I'm in love! Friendly people, fantastic food, warm climate (by the way, what's really the problem with global warming, if it enables you to wear your beautiful summer dresses and ballarina flats all year round?) and most importantly - The biggest shopping mall in the world!
Picture of The Dubai Mall from New Europe Academy
As I don't have the time to go there, or the money for that matter, I have decided to take Dubai as my thursday's-lover. To incorporate my new love into my everyday life, I will tomorrow visit the outlet-city outside Paris. It probably doesn't have 1,200 shops, a giant aquarium and the world's largest candyshop(!!!) like The Dubai Mall, but I will most likely find arrogant french salespeople, rainy weather and hopefully also a lot of great designer labels at huge discounts. I'm crossing my fingers, so I can find a lover a little closer to home...

Send a message in a bottle!

Picture from Ferieliv
In movies all these amazing things can happen when you send a message in a bottle. A handsome man finds the bottle, wonders who wrote the heartfelt message and begins to search for the writer. This turns out to be this beautiful single woman who is afraid to fall in love, as all the men in her past have let her down, one way or another. However the man doesn't give up and it all ends up with a stormy romance, weddingdresses, diaperchanges and housemortgages. Thank God I'm not single, but then - What to write???

Welcome to my world

I am the kind of girl who has to many ideas, dreams and plans, but not enough time to bring them all to life. That's what I will try to use this space for - at least on paper, which leads me to the name of the blog. Some of the stuff that I'll write about is not something that I've experienced myself, which is generally the idea with a blog, but hopefully that doesn't make it less interesting...
